Since opening our doors for the first time a little over the year ago, one of our favourite aspects of getting to know everyone here in Buckingham has been the sense of community that we’ve encountered.
It’s abundantly clear that everyone in and around the town takes pride in being connected to each other, whether that be long-standing friendships and family ties or developing work relationships and partnerships.
Before welcoming you all into our place, we had no idea whether or not we’d be welcome in yours – but the reception we’ve received so far has been nothing short of overwhelming.
We believe passionately that becoming a part of that community is vitally important to us and that we’re not solely here to serve your coffees or wait on your special occasions. That passion extends to the network of local suppliers we work with, as we believe that working together in this way helps us all to create that harmonious community that we can all enjoy.

Both George and Sarah grew up in tight-knitted rural settings – George in Buckingham itself and Sarah in Northamptonshire – so we understand how important those bonds can be. Since day one, we’ve strived to bring in the best quality produce we can from local suppliers because we want to support the businesses around us and we know how valued and respected they are among our customers.
During the initial lockdown in 2020, our business first grew from delivering pies, which gave us a great opportunity to meet the people who were prepared to put their faith in us. Since then we’ve seen so many of you again and now you’re all returning with extended families (some grown in lockdown) and every breed of dog imaginable – our pupaccinos continue to rank among our best sellers!
There’s nothing we enjoy more than working with the likes of Smith & Clay Butchers, Isla Jane Bakery, Mr G’s Greengrocers and Wooden Hill Coffee, to name just a few, to learn more about their products and share them with you as part of the whole CPK experience.
These relationships provide us with great opportunities to develop new and interesting menus for our evening events and a variety of seasonal specials depending on the produce they know will go down a storm.

We even like to take this kind of personality a step further, literally, whether it be heading out on foot to make deliveries, walking the market on a Saturday morning in George’s case or following Sarah’s lead at parkrun.
Implanting ourselves in the daily hubbub of Buckingham came with clear risks, but we’ve loved every minute of it so far, thanks in no small part to the way in which everyone we’ve met has gone out of their way to make us feel welcome.
We’re barely a year old and already it feels like we’ve been here and part of this growing, warm and friendly community since forever. Thank you!
