Back in March I was lucky enough to be invited to the very first Menopause Master Class hosted by three very talented ladies, Anita Stubbings of Body Matters, Sonia Norman from RestoreU and Louise Lambert-Day from Place Eight Wellness. I felt a little bit of a fraud having not gone or currently going through the menopause, but my goodness, it was five days of chatting with the loveliest of ladies, learning new skin care regimes, meditating and given a fountain of knowledge for your mind, body and soul, menopause or not!

As women (and men!) we don’t give ourselves the time we need to reset, and this is exactly what this masterclass does. It makes you take the time out that you need to listen to your body. Which I think is something we probably all need to do after the perils of three lockdowns in the space of just one year!

You are all given exclusive access to a Facebook group where you can talk to Anita, Sonia and Louise directly. There is an introductory zoom call so you can meet everyone on your Master Class and where the hosts will talk you through what is to come in the next week.

Every morning at 7am Anita hosted a live skin care regime you could do in the morning, either with her, or you can catch up a little later. Then every evening at 7pm another skin care regime over zoom. I should also say that before the Master Class begins, Anita will give you a call to talk about your skin and skin care regime. Once she gets to know how your skin is behaving, generally or if it’s changed because of the menopause, then she will be able to give you your bespoke creams to use for the week.

On two of our zoom calls we did facemasks, then on others we exfoliated as well as cleansed, toned and moisturised. I can say that I am still keeping up with a skin care regime, which I never thought I would make the time for!

Here’s a little bit about Anita and Sonia and why they set up the Menopause Masterclass:

Sonia Norman, RestoreU

I was introduced to Meditation 8 years ago, as a part of my own personal Holistic journey. I was diagnosed with M.S and found that meditation gave me space to listen to my body and understand what it needs. Meditation for me, is no longer just a practice, it’s a way of life and being able to share the gift of meditation with others is a blessing.

Anita Stubbings, Body Matters

I have been a Beauty Therapist for over 30yrs. I love helping clients transform their skin starting with the basics. If you get these right everything falls into place. The skin is the largest organ of the body with small steps and forming daily habits,  can make a huge difference and truly transform the way you look. I am passionate about self help sharing knowledge and empowering others.

Why we came together

We connected through listening to clients and that women experiencing changes in their bodies, don’t always put it down to peri-menopause or menopause and need some support and guidance to not loose themselves during this natural process that every woman will go through. As women who are going through the same journey we wanted to share our knowledge.

The next ‘Press Pause on Menopause’ Master class will be taking place between Monday 7th June and Friday 11th June.
