Finally, the local food and drinks businesses in our area are reopening… Hurrah! Here’s a small list of all the pubs, restaurants and coffee shops re-opening this weekend.

Remember to keep your distance, be patient (it’s a new way of working for everybody) and remember to sanitise your hands-on arrival, before and after going to the toilet and at regular intervals.

The Crown, Gawcott – 4th July from 12pm

The Crown are offering a complementary BBQ and a limited menu. They are welcoming children. However, they must stay at the table within their bubble and dogs are also welcome in the garden areas. They will not be taking any table bookings for drinks.

On arrival member of staff will inform you of any tables that are available for the amount of people within your table/bubble. Please be advised that there is a maximum of 6 people per table and we have a limited amount of tables. There will be no table service. One person only is required to order at the bar and take drinks to your table. When reordering drinks or leaving, please return all glasses to the designated area. There will be no refills of used glasses. You will be provided with a clean glass for each drink purchased.

The Crown, Granborough – 4th & 5th July (for drinks only)

For the safety of their customers and staff they have taken all necessary measures to make The Crown a safe and enjoyable place to visit. The Old Thatched Inn, Adstock – 4th July from 12pm

The Old Thatched Inn has recently been decorated and deep cleaned and there is even a new outside terrace so you can enjoy al fresco dining!

On arrival please enter by the side door. Their front door will be used to exit. There will be one way systems in place, perspex screens and sanitising stations in place by the entrance and toilets. You will be looked after by just one member of staff during your visit. All menus will be recycled after use.

We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Prego, Buckingham – 4th of July

Prego will be opening up on Saturday the 4th of July with many measures for your comfort and safety in place. There are far less tables than before so booking is essential. You can book online via the Prego website – www.pregorestaurants.com or by calling 01280 821205. Online bookings are not live and will be approved or declined, so please await confirmation before assuming your booking is confirmed. Bookings will be limited to 6 people and we kindly ask you to limit your dining experience to 1.5 hours (if you require longer its not an issue but please let us know) The private dining area will remain closed and the courtyard garden area will be available at our discretion (weather dependant!)

The George, Winslow – 4th July from 12pm

The advice is to book a table for drinks and food – call 01296 706789.

It will be table service only and you are asked to remain at your table unless of course you need the loo! You can enter through the front of the pub and then exit at the back of the pub.

On entry to the Woolpack you need to wait to be allocated a seat, and only people in your bubble should be sitting at your table with you. They are offering a table service system to reduce the risk of transmission with contactless payments.

The White Hart, Preston Bissett – 4th July from 12pm

Alfie and Katie have been working hard to deep clean and get the White Hart ready for the 4th of July! All social distancing measures are in place, with contact less payments preferred. There will be cleaning stations and table service available with all tables safely spaced out for your comfort and safety.

An outside area is available (weather dependant) and takeaway options are available. Customer details will be taken as part of the track and trace system.

The Betsey Wynne, Swanbourne – 4th July from 12pm

The Betsey Wynne will be operating a no seat no service policy. So just make sure you ring up the day before you want to visit (even if you want to have a beer in the garden) and they will allocate you a table. There will be contactless payments and they have even designed a cool new order and pay at table app!

Carnitas, Buckingham – 4th July

Tables can be booked for a maximum of 2.5 hours. Booking will be open for both indoors and outdoors. As part of the Government guidelines they will be asking for customer contact details. All areas both indoors and outdoors will be table service only.

The Wheatsheaf, Maids Moreton – 4th July

The Wheatsheaf will be offering table service inside the pub but customers in the garden and patio must order from the hatch. Children will only be allowed in the snug and conservatory area as well as the garden but they must remain seated. Dogs must be kept on a lead in the garden. They are required to take contact details from every customer upon entry to the pub. 10 sanitiser stations located around all areas of the pub so please do use upon arrival and throughout your visit. Limited space so please don’t be offended if we have to turn you away

The Bull & Butcher, Akeley – 4th July from 12pm

On arrival member of staff will inform you of any tables that are available for the amount of people within your table/bubble. Please be advised that there is a maximum of 6 people per table and we have a limited amount of tables that can accommodate 6 people inside the building. Upon arrival they are required to request your contact details for track and trace purposes, which will be kept for 21 days and then destroyed. Smoking or gathering is not permitted outside the front of the building. Please use the outside backyard patio area for smoking. A sand bin has been provided. Children are welcome. However, they must stay at the table within their bubble. Dogs are also welcome in the bar and garden areas. They are not permitted in the restaurant or snug areas. They are to be kept on leads held by their owners. Dogs are not allowed on any furniture, including sitting on laps or being held whilst you’re seated. Please do not move any tables or chairs. We have set up all seating areas in accordance to the distancing rules. Should all the benches in the garden be full, we can accept a couple of bubbles to bring picnic blankets.

There will be no table service. One person only is required to order at the bar and take drinks to your table (they have plenty of trays available). When reordering drinks or leaving, please return all glasses to the bar and put your rubbish in the bins provided. Please pay by card where possible and no standing or queuing at the bar at all times.

Cocktail Bars & Coffee Shops

Zinc, Buckingham – 4th July

They will be operating a table service only and no orders from the bar. One in and one out for the bathrooms. There will be a sanitizer station outside the front – please use the entry and exit. There will be card payments only. The menus will be sanitized after every use. The outside seating area has been extended and separated to ensure social distancing can be adhered to. They require bookings of four plus.

Collection 13, Winslow – 4th July

Big changes at Collection 13, to ensure they promote social distancing and work on keeping the bar a safe yet a welcoming establishment creating a new outdoor seating area to ensure they meet the 1meter social distancing rules.

To book a seat message them via Facebook to reserve a table and let them know how long you’d like it for. They will allow people to join us without bookings but we will be taking details of each visitor to ensure they comply with the governments track and trace scheme.
